From the airport into Taipei
Taoyuan International Airport is outside the city. The Airport MRT express gets you to Taipei Main Station in 37 minutes for NT$160. Songshan Airport is in the city, on the MRT Wenhu line.
Taoyuan Airport MRT
- Express and commuter trains alternate at Terminal 1 (A12) and Terminal 2 (A13), one about every 7.5 minutes. The express stops only at Taipei Main Station (A1), A3, A8, A12 and A13; the commuter stops everywhere.
- By the timetable the express takes 37 minutes from Taipei Main Station to Terminal 1, and Terminal 2 is the next stop. The fare between Taipei Main Station and either terminal is NT$160.
- Children under six ride free with a paying passenger (a child over 115 cm needs ID). Single tickets, transit cards, phone credit cards and transport QR codes are all accepted.

At Airport MRT Taipei Main Station (A1), B1, you can check in and drop your bags from 06:00 to 21:30, up to three hours before departure, for a flight leaving Taoyuan the same day. Airlines: China Airlines, Mandarin Airlines, EVA Air, Uni Air, Cathay Pacific and STARLUX. Each airline has its own rules.

Taxis
- Ranks on the arrivals hall level (1F): Terminal 1 by door 12 on the west side, Terminal 2 across the lane from door 26 on the west side. Around the clock.
- Fares are by the meter, with motorway tolls on top.
- A shared-taxi service runs from midnight to 06:00. Taxi service centres: Terminal 1 03-383-4499, Terminal 2 03-398-2022.
Songshan Airport
Taipei Songshan Airport is in the city, on the MRT Wenhu line. At Songshan Airport Station, exit 1 leads to Terminal 1 (international) and exit 2 to Terminal 2 (domestic). The airport is open 05:00 to 23:00. Buses 1840 and 1841 link it with Taoyuan Airport.
