About
To lower issuance costs, improve market efficiency and follow global trends, the Financial Supervisory Commission instructed the Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corporation to move all securities to paperless form. To mark this milestone, the Depository and Clearing Corporation created Taiwan's first stock museum on the site of the vault where share certificates were once kept. Besides explaining the origins and development of shares, the museum uses rare collection items, documents and interactive multimedia to show the close link between the growth of Taiwan's stock market and its economy, and the influence of shares on society, daily life, and even art and culture.
