About
The temple stands at the foot of Fushou Mountain in Taipei. It was founded by Guo Yezi, a devout laywoman, on the principles of teaching through the divine, saving all beings, guiding worshippers in spiritual practice and purifying hearts, out of compassion for others.

It is dedicated to Wuji Yaochi Dasheng Xiwang Jinmu. It is surrounded by green hills. The temple covers more than 10,000 ping (over 33,000 square metres) and is made up of a group of five-storey buildings, flanked by tower-style bell and drum towers. From the balcony of the main hall, one floor up, there are views over Taipei. The halls follow traditional Chinese temple architecture, drawing on features of Ming and Qing palace art and combining old and new, with red brick and yellow tiles set among pines and cypresses.
