The stalls here all have long histories and little overlap, specialising in classic brunch dishes that older Taipei residents love, such as blanched squid, four-herb soup, meat buns, beef soup and meat congee. They have many regular customers. Snacks like these at a temple entrance show the real taste of local life, and for many Taipei people they are the taste of home.
