About
The temple is the centre of spiritual and religious life for residents of the Dazhi area (including Zhongshan, Neihu and Shilin districts). Its principal deity is the Taoist god Fude Zhengshen.

Following the system and spirit of Taoist temples, it also enshrines secondary deities, and its stated aims are to promote Taoist teaching, establish right belief among the people, guide people towards good, purify society, carry forward traditional folk culture and morality, and run charitable and public-welfare work. The other deities enshrined include Songzi Guanyin, Tianshang Shengmu, Baoyi Dafu, Baosheng Dadi, Wenchang Dijun, Guansheng Dijun and the Wufu Qiansui (Wangye) of the Li, Chi, Wu, Zhu and Fan surnames. Throughout the year, worshippers can install Taisui, Guangming, peace, Wenchang and wealth lamps to pray for blessings.
