Its principal deity is the Taoist god Fude Zhengshen. Following the system and spirit of Taoist temples, it also enshrines secondary deities, and its stated aims are to promote Taoist teaching, establish right belief among the people, guide people towards good, purify society, carry forward traditional folk culture and morality, and run charitable and public-welfare work.
