About

Running through the heart of Zhongshan District from MRT Zhongshan Station to Shuanglian Station, the park forms a green corridor through the city. Along its length, planted walkways above ground are integrated with underground public spaces and shopping streets, combining rest, the arts, commerce and street life in one place for walking.

The design draws on modern architecture, with clear routes. Plants, lawns and seats line both sides of the path, offering places to stop for a while and watch street life. Several viewing platforms look down on the crowds and streets, and there are quieter corners to sit and rest. The park also connects with the Zhongshan underground mall, a sunken plaza at basement level (B1) and an underground jazz plaza, forming a single public space system above and below ground. Markets, arts events, street performances and family activities are often held in and around the park, which is used by visitors and residents alike. The surrounding lanes have many creative studios, independent cafés and design shops, giving the area its own character. Chifeng Street is the best known of them.
