About
The park is at the junction of Wenchang Street and Tonghua Street. It was built in 1987 and first named Wentong Park, and it covers 1,180 square metres.

Its name was later changed from Wentong Park to Tonghua Park. Wenchang Street, outside the park, is Taipei's well-known "furniture street", lined with shops selling all kinds of furniture. Not far away is Linjiang Street Night Market, which has Hakka cultural roots and is a well-known Taipei night market with all kinds of snacks. Seasonal flowers are planted at the entrance and change with the seasons. In flowering season the bougainvillea on the trellis covers the park with red flowers. Although most of the park is paved, golden shower trees (阿勃勒), banyans and white champaca (玉蘭花) give good shade. Where the light under the trees is poor, shade-tolerant plants such as 萬年青, ferns (腎蕨), crotons (變葉木) and ti plants (朱蕉) add variety to the park.
