About
Guandu Nature Park lies where the Tamsui and Keelung rivers meet, which has long been an important habitat for migratory birds. After more than ten years of effort by conservationists, the park was established in 1996.

From 1 December 2001 the Taipei City Government entrusted its management to the Wild Bird Society of Taipei. The park's main aims are to conserve the Guandu wetland environment, restore its landscape, bring back its native wildlife, and teach the public about the wetland. To help people understand wetlands, the park runs varied wetland education activities and displays, such as themed exhibitions, holiday talks, family craft classes and camps, and supports schools with environmental education such as on-site interpretation and outdoor lessons.
