Fulin Park

Its main feature is a set of sculptures on nature themes designed by Li Zhiwen, head of the Fine Arts Department at the National Institute of the Arts. There are six groups, Sun, Cloud, Mountain, Waterfall, Water and Well, which use abstraction to turn natural scenes into three-dimensional forms based on pictographic characters. Water is cast in bronze; the other five are all natural stone. The sculptures run through the whole park, and their changing shapes and colours give different effects from far and near. The park is just across the road from Shilin Official Residence Park. In 2009 it was renovated to meet parking needs in the area and to make room for the Li Keyong Memorial Library. The underground car park holds 232 cars and 67 motorcycles, and there are spaces for 10 coaches above ground, serving visitors to the Shilin Official Residence and people going up Yangmingshan for the flowers and hot springs. The park has green lawns and woods.
