About
The pond is said to be a spring formed by the natural terrain. The land of its inner ring and the water of its outer ring, water and soil 'of one heart', symbolise lovers joined together forever; it is surrounded by an ecological wetland and waterside platforms, and it also stresses the importance of soil and water conservation.

With the theme 'finding happiness', the Baishihu community redesigned what had been an abandoned spring into Tongxin Pond, a double-heart-shaped wetland spring, with Yongjie Pavilion, a rest pavilion beside it, so that the wetland and waterside platforms encircle each other. Nearby Guzhui Pond is an ecological storage pond dug by villagers, gathered by a local farmer known as Guzhui Bo to solve the problem of water for irrigating hill farms; later people named the pond Guzhui Pond in his memory.
