About
Songshan began where the river bends, a place where the finest things gathered; surrounded by natural landforms, it developed a rich culture. Through the spatial poetry of 域見 (yujian), the work creates an experience of 'encounter' between the artwork, the geography of the site and people.

Tens of thousands of vertical tubes set at different heights form an organic, rising and falling open shape, evoking water swirling back in a river bend and spreading a layered visual experience from many angles through the tall space, to express Songshan's rich history and origins. As a huge light sculpture it creates 'Blossoms & Dome of Light' (繁花＆光穹), like a hundred scenes of flowers, full of life and rich in sensory experience, celebrating the flowering of Songshan's civilisation from past to present and its hopes for the future.
