About
It is the country's first private museum devoted to Taiwan's Indigenous peoples. The building is a distinctive grey trapezoid, with painted decoration across a wall of glass windows and, at its centre, a stone pillar carved with Indigenous motifs.

The collection is presented under four themes. They cover where each Indigenous group lives; traditional objects of daily life such as architecture, crafts and hunting tools; each group's traditional dress; and belief in ancestral spirits, the most important of Indigenous beliefs. The museum also holds occasional events and classes where people can experience Indigenous culture for themselves and learn about the Indigenous way of revering ancestral spirits and living alongside nature and the mountains.
