About
Built by the Japanese as a Christian church, Chungshan Church has an entrance arch inscribed 'Foundation laid March 1937'. It was originally a Japanese Anglican church, called Dazhengding Church, where Japanese Christians living around Dazheng Street worshipped.

Its exterior is modelled on English Gothic churches. Seen from above, the roof forms a cross, and its pointed arches, corner stones and buttresses are well preserved, giving it architectural value.
