Its stalls line both sides of the road. In earlier years, as Taipei Bridge was the transport hub linking New Taipei and Taipei, many labourers working for a living gathered here, giving rise to a food culture focused on food that is filling, good and authentic. The market has a dense cluster of long-established stalls.
