    "description_zh_hant": "東門又稱景福門，是臺北城通錫口（今松山）的孔道，因同時朝向臺灣北部的重要口岸基隆，負有防禦重任，極具國防的重要意義。當時城內通往東門的「東門街」，就是今天的凱達格蘭大道。如今由於它正位在總統府前，成為許多集會遊行的隊伍必經之處，也為東門帶來了無數上鏡頭的機會，可以說是全臺灣人最熟悉的一座城門，也儼然是此區政治與交通的重要樞紐。在當年臺北城的5座城門中，東門是作工最為細緻的一座。額題景福門，建築結構和北門很類似，都是在石砌的城座以上，以厚實的磚牆一直接到屋簷下，宛如牢不可破的方形堡壘。而雙層磚牆之內，則是木造結構。屋頂是四面屋坡的「歇山式」，簡單大方。屋簷下有綠釉空心花磚裝飾，十分典雅。可惜後來同樣被改建為中國北方宮殿式城樓，但石構臺座及圓拱門為原有建材，門洞為石條所砌半圓拱，邊框保存有雷紋裝飾，仍頗具歷史價值。",

    "description_en": "Also called Jingfu Gate, the East Gate of the Taipei city wall was the passage from Taipei to Xikou (now Songshan). Because it also faced Keelung, an important port in northern Taiwan, it had a major defensive role. The old East Gate Street that led to it inside the walls is today's Ketagalan Boulevard. Standing in front of the Presidential Office, the gate lies on the route of many rallies and marches, which has put it on camera countless times, and it has become a hub of politics and traffic in the area. Of the five gates of old Taipei, the East Gate had the finest workmanship. Its plaque reads 'Jingfu Gate'. Its structure was similar to that of the North Gate: thick brick walls rose from a stone base right up to the eaves, like an impregnable square fortress. Inside the double brick walls was a timber structure. The roof was a simple hip-and-gable (xieshan) roof sloping on four sides, and green-glazed pierced decorative bricks under the eaves added elegance. Later, the gate too was rebuilt as a northern Chinese palace-style gate tower, but the stone base and the arched gateway are original. The passage is a semicircular arch of stone blocks, and its frame keeps its thunder-pattern decoration, which still gives it historical value.",
    "description_ko": "징푸먼(景福門)이라고도 부르는 타이베이 성 둥먼(東門)은 타이베이에서 시커우(지금의 쑹산)로 가는 길목이었어요. 대만 북부의 중요한 항구인 지룽 쪽을 향하고 있어 방어 임무도 컸어요. 성안에서 둥먼으로 이어지던 옛 둥먼제는 지금의 카이다거란 대로예요. 총통부 앞에 있어 많은 집회와 행진이 지나는 길목이라 셀 수 없이 카메라에 담겼고, 이 일대 정치와 교통의 중심이 됐어요. 옛 타이베이 성의 성문 다섯 개 가운데 둥먼의 솜씨가 가장 정교했어요. 현판에는 '景福門'이라고 쓰여 있어요. 구조는 베이먼과 비슷해서, 돌로 쌓은 기단 위에 두꺼운 벽돌 벽이 처마 밑까지 이어져 난공불락의 네모난 요새 같았어요. 이중 벽돌 벽 안쪽은 목조 구조였어요. 지붕은 네 면으로 경사진 간결한 팔작지붕(歇山式)이었고, 처마 밑의 초록 유약 투각 장식 벽돌이 우아함을 더했어요. 이후 둥먼도 중국 북방 궁전식 문루로 다시 지어졌지만, 돌 기단과 아치형 문은 원래 자재예요. 문 통로는 돌을 쌓아 만든 반원 아치이고, 테두리에는 뇌문(雷紋) 장식이 남아 있어 여전히 역사적 가치가 있어요.",
