    "description_en": "The South Gate, also called Lizheng Gate, was completed in 1884 (the tenth year of the Guangxu reign). It was the main gate of the Taipei prefectural city at the time, so its form and size were the grandest of all the gates. Its stone came from the Dazhi area, and the workmanship is fine and has lasted well. The stone plaque is framed with chi dragon patterns, unlike any of the other gates. Early in the Japanese colonial period, the Japanese demolished Taipei's city walls, outer walls and the West Gate. The South Gate survived but fell into disrepair over the years. After the Nationalist government came to Taiwan, the old gates were renovated and the South Gate was rebuilt with a northern Chinese palace-style gate tower, losing much of its original appearance, although the stone base and the arched gateway kept their original form. The gate stands at the junction of Gongyuan Road, Nanchang Street and Aiguo West Road, next to the Tobacco and Liquor Monopoly Bureau building, a national monument, and the high-walled Presidential Residence, where plain-clothes and uniformed police are posted every few steps.",
    "description_ko": "리정먼(麗正門)이라고도 부르는 난먼(南門)은 1884년(청 광서 10년)에 완공됐어요. 당시 타이베이 부성의 정문이었기 때문에 여러 성문 가운데 모양과 크기가 가장 웅장했어요. 돌은 다즈 일대에서 가져왔고, 솜씨가 정교해 오랜 세월을 잘 견뎠어요. 돌 현판 둘레에는 이룡(螭龍) 문양이 있는데, 다른 성문과는 다른 점이에요. 일제강점기 초에 일본인들이 타이베이의 성벽과 외성, 시먼을 허물었어요. 난먼은 살아남았지만 오랫동안 손보지 않아 점점 낡았어요. 국민정부가 대만으로 온 뒤 옛 성문들을 보수하면서 난먼은 중국 북방 궁전식 문루로 다시 지어져 원래 모습을 많이 잃었지만, 돌로 쌓은 기단과 아치형 문 통로는 원래 모습을 지켰어요. 난먼은 궁위안루, 난창제, 아이궈시루가 만나는 교차로에 있어요. 옆에는 국정 고적인 담배주류 공매국 건물과 높은 담으로 둘러싸인 총통 관저가 있고, 사복 경찰과 제복 경찰이 몇 걸음마다 서 있어요.",
